Maintenance Associate / Industrial Maintenance Technician

We’re hiring a Maintenance Associate / Industrial Maintenance Technician for an established automotive manufacturing operation near Columbus, Ohio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on industrial maintenance professional looking to join a manufacturing maintenance team supporting production machinery and equipment. The operation utilizes a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing systems, giving technicians the opportunity to perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, installation, and equipment reliability work.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on industrial maintenance and troubleshooting on production machinery and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures and production downtime issues.

Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Perform maintenance and repair involving bearings, gears, belts, chains, seals, piping, and other mechanical components.

Perform equipment installation, replacement, rebuilding, and machine repair.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.

Use precision measurement tools and proper maintenance practices when repairing equipment.

Perform fabrication and light welding as needed.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.

Assist with rigging, equipment installation, and related plant maintenance activities.

Work closely with production and other maintenance professionals to resolve equipment issues.

Follow established safety and maintenance procedures in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of industrial, commercial, or military maintenance experience.

Strong mechanical maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting experience.

Experience working with equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power, bearings, gears, belts, chains, seals, or related mechanical systems.

Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, or schematics.

Welding or fabrication experience preferred.

Machine repair and equipment installation experience preferred.

Electrical or electromechanical experience is beneficial but advanced PLC programming experience is not required.

Well-rounded, hands-on industrial maintenance or multi-craft background.

Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as part of a larger manufacturing team.
