Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Substitute Cafeteria Worker

FLSA: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current TB test.

Food Saftey Certification.

Ability to read and communicate in English.

Ability to accurately count, weigh, and measure.

Ability to follow instructions and take initiative in performance of assigned tasks.

Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist, and squat on a constant basis.

Lift a minimum of 25 pounds. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must work in a hot, humid environment.

Must work in a cold, or below zero environment for short periods. REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager/Building Administrator

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Daily contracted services for the current school year.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrate an interest in objectives of the School Nutrition Program and have a concern for the welfare of children.

Interact with staff, students, faculty, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.

Assist with food preparation, portioning, holding, service, and storage of left-overs.

Adhere to all HACCP guidelines. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Report to work at scheduled time with proper uniform and appropriately groomed.

Adhere to all school district and building rules and regulations.

Participate in meetings, training sessions, and seminars as scheduled.

Complete other tasks as assigned.
