Description:

Our client is looking for a Frontend Developer (Mid-level) to to help build, maintain and improve modern web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs) that deliver high-quality user experiences. You will be joining their team of professionals in Larnaca, Cyprus and reporting to the Head of Frontend Development.

About the role:

You'll work closely with Product, Design, Backend and QA teams to deliver scalable, reliable frontend solutions, taking real ownership of the features you're assigned while contributing to technical improvements and the wider frontend development practice. You'll work with a good level of independence within established engineering standards, handling moderately complex frontend challenges and contributing to technical and architectural discussions, with guidance available on the most complex or business-critical work.

What you'll do:

Develop, maintain and improve modern web applications and SPAs

Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend technologies

Translate UI/UX concepts into high-quality, maintainable code

Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs

Write clean, structured and reusable code that follows established engineering standards

Take ownership of assigned frontend features and development tasks

Troubleshoot, debug and optimise applications across browsers and devices

Take part in code reviews and give constructive feedback

Contribute to frontend performance, quality and maintainability, and to technical and architectural discussions

Collaborate across Product, Design, Backend and QA within an Agile environment

What we're looking for:

Around 2–4+ years of professional experience in frontend or web development, or a related technical environment

Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining modern web applications and SPAs

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent relevant technical experience/qualifications

Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3

Good knowledge of TypeScript

Good knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework such as Vue.js, Angular or React

Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, browser rendering, caching and web performance

Good understanding of SPA architecture, responsive design, accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility

Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS

Familiarity with modern build tools such as Vite, Webpack or similar

Good knowledge of Git and version-control workflows

Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to manage your own tasks and priorities

Professional proficiency in English and Greek

Nice to have:

Commercial experience with Vue.js

Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, Cypress or similar

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices

Experience optimising frontend performance and application scalability

Proficiency in any additional language

What's on offer:

Salary of €2,400 – €3,700 gross per month (€28,800 – €44,400 gross per year) based on experience

Annual performance and salary review

Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days remote) after 6 months

Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:15 (45-minute lunch break) and Friday: 08:30–17:00 (30-minute lunch break)
