Our client is looking for an HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of human resources functions within a project management environment supporting the mining industry. Candidates with strong HR experience in the mining or construction sectors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Managing the full HR function across project and operational teams.
Developing, reviewing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Establishing HR processes, policies, and structures to support the launch and growth of a new business unit.
Ensuring consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organisation.
Providing guidance to management and employees on employment matters and workplace policies.
Ensuring compliance with applicable Labour Laws and employment legislation.
Working closely with the Legal team on labour-related matters, contracts, disciplinary processes, grievances, and employment issues.
Managing employee relations, disciplinary procedures, grievances, and dispute resolution processes.
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention across projects.
Managing employee contracts, HR records, leave, performance management, and other HR administration.
Advising management on HR risks and recommending appropriate actions to ensure compliance and good employee relations.
Developing and implementing performance management systems, policies, and processes.
Supporting management with organisational structures, job descriptions, and workforce requirements.
Monitoring HR practices across projects to ensure alignment with company policies, legislation, and contractual requirements.
Providing HR reports and insights to management to support operational and business decisions.
Key Skills:
Minimum 5 years' relevant HR management experience, preferably within the mining, construction, engineering, or project management environment.
Strong understanding and practical application of Labour Law and employment legislation.
Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Experience establishing HR systems, processes, and structures within a new business unit or start-up environment is an advantage.
Strong employee relations and industrial relations experience.
Experience working closely with Legal teams on employment and labour-related matters.
Strong understanding of HR processes within project-based or operational environments.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and engage confidently with management, employees, and project teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional HR qualification or membership is an added advantage.
Relevant experience in the mining or construction industry will be highly advantageous.
