Construction Safety Manager

Location: New Albany, OH

Duration: 6-8 Months (Start: 8/31)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $63/hr (Local), $59/hr (Non-Local)

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Candidates must be able to work any day of the week and any shift; minimum of 40 hours per week

Additional Schedule Details: Day and night shift coverage required. Flexibility to support project needs across multiple work schedules is essential.

This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for specialty technology infrastructure systems including structured cabling, audio visual systems, electronic physical security systems, wireless infrastructure, and DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems).

The Field Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, subcontractors, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of low-voltage installation activities, cable routing operations, equipment installation, overhead work, and technology infrastructure deployment.

Required Qualifications

BCSP Certification Required (CHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent)

OSHA 30 Construction Certification

Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience

Experience with Data Center Construction

Preferred Qualifications

Mission Critical Construction Experience

Electrical or Low Voltage Construction Experience

Structured Cabling or Technology Infrastructure Project Experience

Contractor Safety Management Experience

What You'll Be Doing

Provide daily field safety oversight for mission-critical technology infrastructure installation activities

Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments

Monitor structured cabling, overhead installations, equipment mounting, and material handling operations

Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements

Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions

Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel

Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors

Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation

Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports

Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
