Construction Safety Manager
Primary Location: Columbus, OH
Additional Project Locations: Lima, OH & Franklin Furnace, OH (as project needs require)
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Full-Time W2 Direct Hire
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 Annually
Relocation Assistance: $2,500 Paid on First Check

Additional Incentive: 10% Compensation Increase While Assigned to Per Diem Projects Outside of Columbus, OH, Plus $178/Day Per Diem While Onsite
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Additional Schedule Details: Overtime paid when working Saturdays and Sundays. Travel to project sites throughout Ohio may be required.

This opportunity provides hands-on safety leadership for projects primarily focused on civil construction, concrete construction, site development, infrastructure improvements, utility installation, and heavy construction operations.
The Construction Safety Manager will serve as the field safety leader, working directly with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and support the safe execution of civil and concrete construction activities. This position blends field leadership, safety program implementation, contractor oversight, incident management, and safety culture development.
Required Qualifications
OSHA 500 Certification OR OSHA 510 Certification Required
Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
Preferred Qualifications
CHST, ASP, CSP, or Other BCSP Credential
Civil Construction Safety Experience
Concrete Construction Experience
Utility and Site Development Experience
General Contractor Experience
Excavation and Trenching Safety Experience
What You'll Be Doing
Provide daily field safety oversight for civil and concrete construction operations
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client-specific safety requirements
Lead project safety meetings, orientations, and training initiatives
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while implementing corrective actions
Coordinate safety efforts with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel
Support excavation, utility, concrete, grading, and infrastructure construction activities
Manage site-specific safety documentation, inspections, and compliance reporting
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices across all project teams
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout assigned projects
