Faculty and staff work collaboratively to help students achieve licensure, certifications, and long-term success in their chosen fields.\n Role Description The LPN Instructor is a full-time, on-site role located in Chipley, FL, responsible for teaching and mentoring students enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nurse program.

The instructor plans and delivers classroom and lab instruction aligned with state and accreditation standards, using evidence-based content and current nursing best practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, evaluating student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance.

The role also involves supervising students in clinical settings, coordinating with clinical sites, and ensuring that all learning experiences prioritize patient safety and professional conduct.

The LPN Instructor collaborates with colleagues on curriculum updates, participates in program review and improvement initiatives, and supports student recruitment, advising, and progression toward licensure.\n Qualifications\n\n Current, unencumbered RN license with an ADN, BSN, or higher in the state of Florida, with relevant clinical experience in acute, long-term, or community care settings.\n Demonstrated instructional or precepting experience, including the ability to plan lessons, deliver engaging lectures, and facilitate skills labs and simulations.\n Strong knowledge of nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, patient assessment, and practical nursing procedures, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.\n Effective communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.\n Proficiency with basic computer applications, electronic learning platforms, and digital record-keeping for attendance, grading, and instructional materials.\n Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field; teaching certification or educator preparation training is preferred or willingness to obtain.\n Ability to comply with institutional and regulatory requirements, including background checks, immunizations, and ongoing professional development.\n Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to support program goals.\n
