Laborer

Job Description

We're seeking general laborers for contract assignments, typically varying from 3-6 months in length and all coming with the likeliness of an extension or conversion to a direct hire employee once the contract is completed!

The Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks under direct supervision. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, supporting a team, and working outdoors in varying conditions.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Monticello, IN

Pay Rate: $18.00-20.00/hour

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lift and move materials as directed

Load and unload vehicles

Dig, refill holes, and assist with site cleanup

Perform general labor activities as needed

Follow directions from supervisors and perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience

Must have 6inch lace up work boots

0–4 years of prior related experience

Work Environment:

Physical labor is a major component of the role

Must be able to handle objects weighing up to 30 pounds for most of the workday

Occasional exposure to risks such as cuts, burns, or chemicals

Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes

Work is conducted primarily outdoors in a manual labor setting
