Location: San Ramon, CA (Regular Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Next.js Lead Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-performance web applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in modern frontend technologies, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

You will be responsible for building scalable applications, mentoring developers, and ensuring best practices in code quality, performance, and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of web applications using Next.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance frontend architectures

Collaborate with backend teams, designers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions

Optimize applications for maximum speed, SEO, and performance

Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers

Integrate APIs, third-party services, and headless CMS platforms

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues

Stay updated with the latest frontend and Next.js ecosystem trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

6+ years of experience in frontend development

3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and React

Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

Experience with SSR (Server-Side Rendering), SSG (Static Site Generation), and API routes

Solid understanding of web performance optimization and SEO best practices

Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL

Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design

Experience with version control tools like Git

Excellent problem-solving and leadership skill
