Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Family Medicine
Groveton Family Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a long-tenured provider transitions into retirement. This is a rare opportunity to step into an established, well-respected family medicine practice and continue a legacy of care that has served this community since 2003.
Groveton Family Medical Clinic is the sole primary healthcare provider for the rural community of Groveton, Texas, located just 35 miles southwest of Lufkin. Patients here don't just see a provider, they trust one. This is traditional family medicine, caring for patients from young children through older adults, in a practice where the staff knows their patients by name and the community knows exactly who to call.
The Role
Provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
Manage chronic disease, acute illness, preventive care, and routine procedures
Perform DOT exams
Manage suboxone patients as part of the practice's ongoing commitment to the community's behavioral health needs
Work alongside a collegial, experienced team including physician and advanced practice colleagues
Schedule and Work/Life Balance
Monday through Friday schedule
Minimal call responsibility, phone only, no in-person call requirements
Reasonable patient load in a practice that values quality care over volume
No weekends
Qualifications
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience strongly preferred
Experience with DOT exams and suboxone/MAT preferred
Comfortable providing care across all ages, from pediatric to geriatric patients
A collaborative, community-minded approach to medicine
