Hardware Deployment Technician

Our client in Patient Care is urgently seeking a qualified Hardware Deployment Technician. The ideal candidate will be A+ Certified or possess equivalent experience in desktop support.

What you will do as the Hardware Deployment Technician:

1. Device Setup and Management:

Work with Windows-based desktops/laptops that come with a base image loaded.

Conduct an inventory of software/applications installed on each machine.

Review and document existing printer mappings.

2. Device Replacement and Peripheral Connection:

Replace old computer devices with new ones.

Connect peripherals such as document scanners, webcams, and signature pads. (Customer will provide documentation for verification of peripherals).

3. Software and Printer Installation:

Ensure the new machine is connected to the network.

Use SCCM to load any required applications (with customer-provided documentation for installation and configuration).

Map printers on the new machine.

4. Issue Resolution and Escalation:

Promptly escalate any issues to the onsite lead technician.

5. Asset Management:

Return the old devices to the asset cage.

Coordinate with a lead technician at each location.

Familiarity with SCCM and Windows-based systems for deployment

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to learn systems and technologies.
