Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) with three years of experience in sterile processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-level disinfection and a comprehensive understanding of the sterilization process. The position requires previous travel experience and certification from CBSPD or CRCST.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform decontamination of various items, including drills, Davinci, and scopes.

Assemble all instruments across different service lines, including trauma and loaner instruments, ensuring proper peel packaging.

Execute sterilization processes using both Sterrad and steam methods.

Utilize high-level disinfection (HLD) techniques and maintain scope experience.

Manage sterile storage and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Act as an OR liaison to facilitate communication between the sterile processing department and the operating room.

Experience with the Censitrac tracking system is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Three years of experience in sterile processing.

Certification from CBSPD or CRCST is required.

Flexibility to work scheduled rotating weekends and occasional holidays.

Additional Information:

Previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible for this position. Additionally, applicants residing within a 50-mile radius of the location are not eligible. Current contractors within this radius may complete existing contracts and may extend up to the one-year maximum contract limit.
