Division Chief
Serves as a Division Chief within HQ DLA Finance and is the principal advisor to the DLA Accounting Officer, who in turn is the principal advisor to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer/Deputy Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer/Comptroller.
Responsible for the management and direction of a division comprised of professional accountants, exercising technical and administrative oversight through subordinate supervisors.
Provides expert guidance on accounting and finance policies, procedures, and initiatives to advance the application of new policies, procedures, methods, and technologies, assessing their impact on federal laws, regulations, and stakeholders.
Ensures that the Agency conforms with accounting and finance statutory and regulatory policies of the Congress, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Treasury, and the Department of War (DoW).
Integrates reporting requirements from OUSW(C), DFAS, and federal entities to resolve trading partner eliminations and financial reporting issues.
Leads and provides guidance on DLA Enterprise-Wide accounting analysis and Enterprise Business System trial balance management to assure the integrity of DLA financial reporting across Working Capital Fund, General Fund, and Transaction Fund.
Oversees accounting data management to include posting logic in accordance with the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM) and Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) compliance.
Responsible for the remediation of Notice of Findings and Recommendations (NFR) corrective action plans (CAPs) directly related to accounting and financial processes to support an unqualified audit opinion.
