About the Client:

Our client is a well-established financial services organisation based in Hong Kong, supporting critical transaction processing and post-trade operations. The technology team operates with a focus on platform stability, continuous testing improvement, and structured software development standards.

The Role & Landscape:

You will join an engineering team responsible for building and maintaining core Java-based post-trade systems while actively building out automated testing infrastructure. Key deliverables include:

- Developing RESTful microservices and backend components in Java and Spring Boot on Linux.

- Designing and implementing automated testing tools and scripts using Python, JavaScript, Selenium, and Cucumber.

- Participating in full SDLC activities, from requirements analysis and unit testing to integration testing and production implementation.

- Managing CI/CD workflows and automated build pipelines via Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.

- Investigating performance bottlenecks, resolving application bugs, and providing production support (including periodic shift/on-call rotation).

What We Are Looking For:

- 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Linux databases.

- Demonstrated experience developing automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Python, or JavaScript).

- Background in financial services or exposure to post-trade, settlement, or transaction systems is highly advantageous.

- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline. Candidates with slightly less experience will be considered for a System Analyst title.

- Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
