What You ll Do
Perform ophthalmic patient assessments and obtain accurate histories
Assist with ocular examinations and specialized diagnostics
Perform Schirmer tear tests, tonometry, and fluorescein staining
Assist with ocular ultrasound, imaging, and ophthalmic procedures
Prepare and monitor patients during anesthesia, surgery, and recovery
Administer ophthalmic medications and educate clients on their use
Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the veterinary team
Maintain ophthalmic instruments, anesthesia and imaging equipment
Maintain accurate medical, treatment, and anesthesia records
Coordinate ophthalmology needs across departments
Support patient safety, infection control, and OSHA standards
What We re Looking For
Current LVT/CVT/RVT license in good standing
Experienced Veterinary Assistants may also be considered
Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced specialty environment
Positive, compassionate approach to patient care
Commitment to continued learning and professional growth
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, 4-day work week
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM, with one set weekday off
Weekends off
Occasional holidays required
$25 $38/hour, based on experience and licensure
Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus based on experience and credentials
