We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's Shared Services team in Vaughan. This is a hands-on, onsite position responsible for managing full-cycle payroll across both Canadian and US operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in ADP Workforce Now, a solid grasp of multi-jurisdiction compliance, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume, multi-province Canadian workforce, including both hourly and salaried employees with complex pay structures
Administer US payroll across multiple states, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
Manage payroll runs accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
Reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with provincial and state tax requirements, statutory deductions, garnishments, and remittances
Maintain payroll records and support internal and external audits
Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll-related reporting and year-end processes (T4s, W-2s, ROEs)
Requirements
PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification — required
Minimum 1 year of US payroll processing experience, multi-state
Demonstrated experience processing high-volume, complex Canadian payroll across multiple provinces, including both hourly and salaried populations
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) — required
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
Solid understanding of Canadian and US payroll legislation and compliance standards
Nice to Have
Familiarity with ADP reporting and analytics tools
Prior exposure to payroll integrations with HRIS systems
