Summary: The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutors to provide academic support to our students. Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups to assist students in achieving their academic goals across a variety of subject areas, including but not limited to:
Natural Sciences: Biology, Earth Science, etc.
Mathematics: Developmental/Remedial through Pre-Calculus, Statistics
Social Sciences & Humanities: History, Government, Sociology, Writing Responsibilities:
Provide academic support through individual and group tutoring sessions
Teach effective learning strategies to help students succeed in coursework
Support students in developing study skills, time management, and confidence
Adapt tutoring strategies to meet the diverse needs of students Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in the relevant content area or equivalent work experience
1-2 years of experience working with college or high school students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead group tutoring sessions Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching or tutoring experience
Experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students
Knowledge and experience supporting underrepresented or first-generation college student
