Work Environment

This position will be based onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center within Newark, NJ, known for its supportive environment that encourages both patient and staff wellness. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a work-life balance that is essential for job satisfaction and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

Directing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, restore muscle function, and optimize performance levels in line with each client’s individualized care plan.

Overseeing physical therapy assistants in delivering appropriate care and ensuring adherence to established treatment protocols.

Administering assessments to determine the client's functional capabilities using muscle, nerve, joint assessments along with diagnostic tests.

Evaluating the home environment to recommend adaptive modifications that enhance the client's autonomy and independence during rehabilitation.

Providing in-home physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive recovery pathways.

Implementing manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, offering guidance, motivation, and support to clients to enhance their rehabilitation experience.

Utilizing various treatments, including traction and massage, and engaging physical agents in conjunction with prescribed therapies.

Evaluating and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal performance for clients.

Contributing to interdisciplinary care meetings, sharing vital observations and updates regarding client progress to enhance overall treatment strategies.

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Training clients and their families on the proper use and care of physical therapy devices and thorough orientation about the entire therapeutic process.

Completing on-site functional assessments to ensure alignment with client needs and making revisions to care plans as necessary.

The clients we serve comprise a diverse population seeking rehabilitation for various conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. Qualifications

The ideal candidate is required to have:

A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing in the state of New Jersey.

A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in an acute care or home healthcare setting, as mandated by state law.

A proactive approach to enhancing patient care through innovative thinking and problem-solving.

A strong sense of teamwork, capable of collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.

Preferred Experience

Experience in working with diverse populations and familiarity with home healthcare services would be advantageous. A background in developing and implementing therapeutic exercise programs, along with knowledge of community resources for rehabilitation, will set you apart as an ideal candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
