Work Environment

The role of the Physical Therapist will take place in an onsite rehabilitation facility dedicated to comprehensive patient care. We pride ourselves on providing a structured yet collaborative work environment, where all team members contribute to the overall therapeutic process. Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough initial evaluations for up to 7 patients daily, identifying individual mobility goals and needs through comprehensive assessments.

Design personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional independence, utilizing evidence-based practices.

Provide one-on-one therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on adaptive techniques for daily living.

Educate and communicate regularly with patients and their families about progress, therapeutic processes, and home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless coordination of care and comprehensive treatment strategies.

Maintain meticulous documentation for all patient interactions and treatment sessions to ensure compliance and track progress, using electronic health record systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility specializes in rehabilitative care following surgical procedures, injury recovery, and geriatric rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist at Moving & Grooving, you will work closely with a diverse patient population that may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, strokes, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

Current New York State Physical Therapist License required.

A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).

Demonstrated competency and skills in physical therapy evaluations and treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.

Experience with electronic health records and documentation systems.

Background in geriatric care and rehabilitation practices is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
