Activity Director

Rate: $21 - $24 (depending on experience)

Shift: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an Activity Director to its team. In this role, you’ll lead meaningful programs and activities that support resident engagement, emotional well-being, and quality of life. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, organize, and lead engaging individual and group activity programs tailored to resident interests and abilities

Maintain activity documentation, resident care plans, attendance records, and required NYS DOH reporting

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, resident care conferences, and resident council activities

Supervise, support, and orient activity staff and volunteers

Assist with special events, community relations, and facility engagement initiatives

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Approved by NYS DOH as a Qualified Trained Activity Leader preferred

Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Recreation Assistant preferred

Minimum of two years of full-time paid experience in an activities program within a healthcare setting

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
