S&S Pipeworks, (facility located in Coldspring, TX), is a leading provider of carbon and stainless-steel piping fabrication services for the waterworks industry.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Steel Piping Sandblaster. This role maintains and operates sandblasting equipment to remove contaminants from steel piping spools. This is a single person department, where the individuals works independently to ensure both safety and quality in abrasive blasting processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial sandblasting and strong physical stamina to perform demanding tasks efficiently.

Important Hiring Information

Home every evening. Zero travel required.

Small-to-medium sized family owned business.

Business hours are (4) 10 hour days Monday-Thursday.

Positions are currently 1099 contract with minimal hours over 40.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for coating or finishing through thorough abrasion

Operate sandblasting equipment safely and effectively

Handle abrasive materials to meet project specifications

Maintain dust control during blasting operations to ensure a safe work environment

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in industrial sandblasting

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in the operation of sandblasting equipment

Knowledgeable about various abrasive materials

Experienced with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Ability to perform equipment maintenance

Strong physical stamina for solo, demanding work

Effective team collaboration and problem-solving skills
