Custom Permits has been helping trucking companies navigate oversize/overweight and trip permits for decades — 4.9 stars, 150+ reviews, and a reputation built one permit at a time. We're looking for a Permit Clerk to join our team and help keep America's freight moving.

What you'll do:

• Process trucking permit applications (standard, oversize/overweight, trip, fuel, and more) accurately and on deadline

• Communicate with carriers to gather details, answer questions, and provide order status updates

• Work with state DOT portals to submit and track permit applications

• Use our in-house EasyPermits platform to manage orders

• Catch details others miss — wrong weights or dates on a permit can mean real trouble for a driver

What we're looking for:

• Strong customer service background — you're patient, clear, and genuinely like helping people

• Detail-oriented — comfortable double- and triple-checking your own work

• Comfortable learning new software and systems

• Trucking/logistics/permit experience a plus, but not required — we'll train the right person

• Reliable, in-office in the Columbus/Hilliard, OH area

Pay: $20/hour, depending on experience
