Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable Java APIs using Spring Boot on cloud platforms (GCP preferred)

- Define, implement, and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and development best practices

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

- Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence

- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud deployment strategies

- Ensure optimal application performance, security, and scalability in cloud environments

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing hands-on support

- Monitor system health, optimize resources, and manage cloud-related costs

- Stay on the leading edge of emerging technologies, recommending architectural and process improvements

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 10+ years' experience in Java backend/API development

- Deep expertise with RESTful API and SOA development using Java and Spring technologies

- Experience with API (REST & SOAP) and cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure considered)

- Strong track record in technical leadership and mentoring developers

- Proficient in CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

- Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

- Experience with microservices and cloud-native architecture

- Background in Banking and Payments domains

- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies
