Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support a large industrial manufacturing facility in Carrollton, GA. This is a hands-on troubleshooting role focused entirely on electrical systems, controls, and PLC-driven equipment.
This position is a great fit for someone who is comfortable responding to equipment breakdowns, connecting to PLCs with a laptop, reviewing logic to identify the source of a problem, and getting production equipment back up and running.
This is not a PLC programming position. The focus is on using existing PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment and making minor logic changes when needed. What You’ll Do
Respond to electrical and controls-related equipment breakdowns throughout the facility
Connect to PLCs using a laptop via Ethernet or wireless connection
Troubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, with approximately 80% of the facility utilizing Siemens
Review PLC logic to identify root causes of equipment issues
Perform control circuit troubleshooting
Troubleshoot and replace drives and download/configure replacement drives
Make minor PLC logic changes when necessary
Work directly with the shift supervisor to prioritize breakdown calls and outstanding work orders
Independently troubleshoot assigned equipment and work orders
Partner with the maintenance team to keep production equipment running efficiently
The role is 100% electrical/PLC-focused. Dedicated mechanical technicians handle mechanical maintenance issues. What We’re Looking For
Previous Electrical Technician, Controls Technician, or similar industrial maintenance experience
Must have experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
Experience connecting to and navigating Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs
Ability to read and understand PLC logic for troubleshooting purposes
Experience troubleshooting electrical/control circuits
Experience working with drives/VFDs
Comfortable independently troubleshooting equipment breakdowns
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of equipment failures
