CNC Programmer – Sheet Metal / Amada

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer specializing in sheet metal blanking and bending operations. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining programs for turret punch machines, laser cutting equipment, press brakes, robotic brakes, and panel benders.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amada equipment and software, particularly Amada robot programming and VPSS 4i. Candidates whose primary experience is with lathes, mills, or general machining will not be the right fit for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain programs for press brakes, robotic brakes, panel benders, turret punch machines, and laser cutting equipment.
Develop programs and flat-pattern dimensions for sheet metal components.
Create, maintain, and update shop-floor routings and bills of material in SAP.
Troubleshoot and resolve programming and production issues.
Optimize programs to improve material utilization, production efficiency, and part quality.
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams.
Maintain accurate programming and manufacturing documentation.
Support continuous-improvement activities within the sheet metal department.
Required Qualifications
Experience programming equipment used for sheet metal blanking, bending, and fabrication.
Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
Ability to troubleshoot programming and production-related issues.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old to work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work onsite in Eagle, Wisconsin.
Preferred Skills
The following skills will be prioritized:
Amada robot programming for press brakes.
Amada turret blanking software, especially VPSS 4i.
SAP experience with manufacturing routings and bills of material.
Salvagnini panel bender programming using Stream Bend.
SigmaNest experience for laser-part setup.

Important Experience Requirement
This role specifically requires experience with sheet metal blanking and bending. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in CNC lathe, mill, turning, or general machining programming may not meet the position requirements.
