Position Summary
The Groundskeeper maintains the grounds of the property and works towards the common goals of satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations and optimal resident retention. The Groundskeeper will also regularly communicate with all necessary Company employees, outside vendors and other individuals as deemed necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
Polices grounds as first task daily and throughout day, as needed
Completes grounds work as needed
Plants, prunes, weeds, seeds or removes foliage, shrubs, trees or grasses or other grounds work
Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
Assist maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable).
Operates various mechanical or electrical equipment or garden tools
Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
English proficiency - both written and verbal
Valid Driver's License preferred
Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations
Ability to operate a two-axle motor vehicle
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate all necessary tools to perform the essential functions of the position
Experience and working knowledge of OSHA and other environmental safety standards
Ability to perform a variety of duties in all types of weather Benefits
