This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from office.

Job Description:

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Technical Product Manager to work directly with engineering on our Kubernetes and container platform (e.g., Morpheus HKS- Kubernetes Service). This role is more about being in the weeds — writing detailed specs, testing features, generate technical content, digging into customer/support issues, and helping engineering ship the right thing correctly.

What You'll Do

• Write detailed product requirements and technical specs for Kubernetes/container features (cluster lifecycle, CSI/storage integration, CNI/networking, autoscaling, upgrades) that engineering can build directly against.

• Get hands-on with the product — deploy clusters, test new features, reproduce customer/support issues, and validate fixes before they ship.

• Work day-to-day with engineers in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and design reviews — not just handing off requirements, but actively problem-solving alongside them.

• Triage and prioritize incoming bugs, customer escalations, and feature requests based on technical severity and impact.

• Partner with QA/engineering to define test plans and acceptance criteria for new Kubernetes capabilities.

• Support field/sales engineering with technical answers, demos, and troubleshooting for Kubernetes-related customer questions.

• Track competitive Kubernetes distributions and ecosystem tools hands-on (installing, testing, comparing) to inform feature decisions with direct technical evidence, not just market reports.

• Contribute to release notes, technical documentation, and internal enablement content.

Required Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in product management or a hands-on technical role (engineering, DevOps, SRE) with meaningful direct Kubernetes/container experience.

• Comfortable in a terminal — able to stand up a cluster, read logs, and troubleshoot without relying entirely on engineering to explain what's happening.

Technical Skills We're Looking For

• Kubernetes core: hands-on experience with control plane components, kubelet, RBAC, namespaces, cluster autoscaling, and upgrade/lifecycle workflows — enough to operate a cluster yourself, not just describe one.

• CSI (Container Storage Interface): practical experience with dynamic volume provisioning, snapshots, and StorageClass/storage policy configuration.

• CNI/SDN networking: working knowledge of pod networking, overlay networks, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

• Multi-cluster/multi-tenant environments: hands-on exposure to namespace isolation and multi-tenancy configurations.

• Infrastructure-as-Code: ability to read/write basic Terraform or Ansible for provisioning and testing.

• CNCF ecosystem tools: direct experience installing/operating Prometheus, Grafana, Calico, or similar add-ons.

• Scripting/basic coding: comfortable with Python, Bash, or Go for testing, automation, or quick tooling.

• Hybrid virtualization awareness (nice to have): exposure to Kubernetes running on VMware, KVM-based hypervisors, or bare metal.

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented and comfortable getting into technical specifics rather than staying at the strategy level.

• Strong collaborator who earns credibility with engineers through technical competence, not just process management.

• Good written communicator for specs, bug reports, and technical documentation.
