TechLogic Solutions is managing the recruitment and vetting of qualified 1099 IT Field Technicians for our client, a premier infrastructure provider servicing national financial networks. In this position, you will be dispatched directly to execute hands-on cabling, rack-and-stack installations, and hardware servicing at regional bank branches and corporate financial facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Rack, Stack & Patching: Mount and replace routers, switches, firewall units, UPS systems, and server equipment.
Structured Cabling & Layer 1: Pull, terminate, test, and neatly organize Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic connections per enterprise guidelines.
Hardware Upgrades & Replacements: Perform scheduled hardware refreshes, memory/drive swaps, decommissioning, and asset packaging within designated maintenance windows.
Remote NOC Support: Act as the local hands-on technician collaborating with Tier 2/3 remote network engineers during troubleshooting.
Site Surveys & Sign-Offs: Perform comprehensive site audits, diagram rack setups, and submit high-quality photographic deliverables upon job completion.
Candidate Qualifications:
Background: 3–5+ years of commercial IT field service experience (background in retail, enterprise, or banking settings preferred).
Security Clearance: Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening (mandatory for financial facility access).
Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree preferred). Relevant credentials such as CompTIA A+/Net+, Cisco CCST/CCNA, or BICSI are strong assets. Fiber optic cabling experience is highly desired.
Professional Standards: Clean physical presentation and prompt, clear communication appropriate for retail banking environments.
Mandatory Equipment & Logistics:
Transportation: Dependable personal vehicle.
Technical Equipment: Laptop equipped with an Ethernet port and terminal emulation software (e.g., PuTTY), USB-to-RJ45/Serial console cables, and a functional smartphone.
Tool Kit: Standard hand tools, cordless drill, network cable toner/tester, and wire crimping/termination tools.
