Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex diagnostic tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and related areas
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers
Ensure accurate specimen collection, labeling, processing, and storage
Review, validate, and report test results in the LIS in a timely manner
Adhere to CLIA, CAP, and MUSC quality control, safety, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and researchers to support patient care and studies
Participate in process improvement, method validation, and new test implementation
Contribute to training of students and new staff within Laboratory Services
Required Skills
Clinical laboratory testing (hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, transfusion services)
Operation and maintenance of automated lab analyzers
Quality control and quality assurance procedures
