Position: Aspire/GED Instructor

Reports To: Aspire Coordinator

Qualifications: Successful applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher; Have or be able to secure required licensure/certification from the Ohio Department of Education; Have a sound understanding of curriculum development techniques and individualized learning; Experience with disadvantaged adults and a willingness to relate to adults with limited reading, math and writing skills is preferred; Must successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.

Responsibilities: Duties include assessing students upon entrance to the program, developing lesson plans, instructing students using a variety of materials and methods in the areas of math, language arts, science and/or social studies. Must have computer skills needed to maintain student records and produce monthly reports in Excel or Access programs. Attendance at all staff meetings is required.

Salary: Placement on the Adult Hourly Salary Schedule
