About the Role:

In Route Drilling LLC is looking for a skilled HDD Locator to join our growing team in Zimmerman, MN! This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll play a critical part in the success of horizontal directional drilling operations. If you're experienced in underground utility work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Operate HDD locating equipment to track and guide drill head during boring operations

Communicate drill path, depth, and pitch data to the drill operator in real time

Perform utility locates and verify underground infrastructure prior to drilling

Monitor and adjust bore path to maintain accuracy and avoid existing utilities

Assist with setup, breakdown, and maintenance of HDD equipment on job sites

Maintain accurate job site documentation and locating logs

Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures on site

Requirements:

Prior experience as an HDD Locator or in horizontal directional drilling operations

Proficiency with locating equipment such as DigiTrak, SubSite, or similar systems

Strong understanding of underground utility identification and avoidance

Ability to read and interpret site plans, utility maps, and bore profiles

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a crew
