About the Role
Bureau Veritas Kazakhstan Industrial Services LLP is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join the Sauran Solar Power Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements during the design and construction phases of a large-scale renewable energy project.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise EPC Contractors in implementing project HSE management systems, procedures, and safety plans.
Conduct safety trainings, toolbox talks, and HSE meetings with Client and EPC Contractors.
Identify project risks, recommend mitigation measures, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Perform regular safety inspections and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, risk assessments, and other safety reviews.
Monitor compliance with Kazakhstan HSE legislation and project requirements.
Support incident reporting, investigations, emergency preparedness, and emergency drills.
Ensure Permit to Work (PTW) processes are properly implemented.
Conduct HSE audits and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, HSE, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, preferably on large industrial or energy projects.
Experience working on the Client side and with EPC Contractors is highly preferred.
Knowledge and experience in HAZID, HAZOP, risk assessment, and construction safety management.
Strong understanding of Kazakhstan HSE regulations and international standards.
Experience in renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Languages
English (mandatory)
Russian and/or Kazakh
Chinese language skills will be considered an advantage.
