Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Schedule

Mid 5x8-Hour shifts from 14:00 to 22:00. Weekend coverage every other week is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 42-bed long-term care unit, accepting first-time travelers. The unit caters to adults and geriatrics, with patient diagnoses including Dementia, Arthritis, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA).

Responsibilities

Management of 21 patients during day shifts and 42 patients during night shifts.

Assisting with patient admissions, ambulation, and daily living activities.

Administering medications including antianxiety, antidepressants, and antihypertensives.

Monitoring vital signs and managing behaviors related to anxiety disorders and mood disorders.

Providing education and support to patients and families.

Specialized procedure management including BiPAP/CPAP and feeding tube care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.

Registered Nursing license in New York is mandatory, with the license in hand at the time of submission.

EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement.
