Senior Software Engineer – Remote, Full-time
Keena Healthcare Technology is seeking a full-time, remote Senior Software Engineer (full stack). This position will begin as a 3-month temporary role that preferentially works a hybrid schedule between remote/in office and will convert to a permanent position for the candidate who demonstrates they are a productive, insightful, and cooperative member of the team.
This role will support Keena’s core development team in maintaining, improving, and developing our suite of healthcare software applications. Work includes, but is not limited to, advising on and implementing performant, cost-effective, and secure software solutions for both clients and the company.
Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be responsible for:
Full stack development across a wide range of products and custom client applications, including web applications, console applications, and modules for a variety of EHRs
Supporting existing projects and company products
Required Skills And Experience
The winning candidate will have the following skills and experience:
7+ years of development experience utilizing the .NET platform
Mastery of:
C#
SQL
JavaScript
NET
AD/MS Entra
7+ years of experience working within Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
5+ years working in Azure DevOps or a similar platform
5+ years of experience working across all stages of the SDLC
Experience using Cursor.AI, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT in a professional software setting
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and ideas to non-technical audiences
Experience programming with OWASP best practices
Proven ability to work productively and cooperatively within a team environment
Recognition of the importance of security and discretion when working with sensitive data
Excellent time management skills
Preferred (Plus) Qualifications
Additionally, the following skills and experience are a plus:
Experience in the healthcare industry
Knowledge of EHRs, including Altera, NextGen, and Epic
Knowledge of industry specifications, including EDI and HL7
A BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar technical degree or certification
Residency in North Carolina or Florida and willingness to work on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office/3 days remote) initially
