Maintenance and Operations Manager

Job Description

We are hiring a Maintenance and Operations Manager for our dairy in Cimarron, Kansas. This role oversees facility infrastructure, heavy equipment maintenance, team leadership, and daily operational workflows. We need a practical problem-solver focused on keeping equipment running, maintaining workplace safety, and managing on-the-ground staff efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Personnel Management: Lead, schedule, and supervise daily tasks for the maintenance and operations team.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Manage routine and preventive maintenance schedules for tractors, loaders, trucks, feed systems, and dairy infrastructure.

Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues quickly to minimize operational downtime.

Parts & Inventory: Maintain adequate stock of spare parts, fluids, and maintenance supplies.

Safety & Upkeep: Enforce safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous experience managing a team of people is required.

Some background in machinery maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, or agricultural operations.

Experience operating and servicing heavy machinery, tractors, and agricultural equipment.

Working proficiency in both Spanish and English is highly beneficial, but not disqualifying.

Proof of legal status and Social Security Number (SSN) required.

Strong problem-solving skills, hard-working attitude, and physical ability to work outdoors.
