Job Description
Shape how complex parts come to life
Step into a high-mix, low-volume environment where precision, agility, and creativity intersect. As our 5-Axis CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer, you’ll own process development from CAD/CAM strategy through shop-floor execution—combining world-class Mastercam programming with practical automation to boost throughput and repeatability. A day in this role
Morning: Review new part designs, select tooling/fixturing, and craft optimized 5-axis toolpaths in Mastercam. Validate with simulation and G-code reviews.
Midday: Partner with design, production, and automation teams to de-risk manufacturability, troubleshoot setups, and refine programs for cycle time and surface quality.
Afternoon: Stand up or tune automation (pallets/robots/probing) to elevate flexibility and throughput. Document workflows and NC strategies for repeat builds.
Always: Lead lean/Six Sigma improvements, uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards, and mentor peers on best practices. What you’ll tackle
Optimize processes for complex geometries and materials in a high-mix, low-volume setting.
Program and debug 5-axis CNC machines using Mastercam; post, prove-out, and refine G-code.
Design and implement automation to increase flexibility and throughput.
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve manufacturing challenges quickly and sustainably.
Drive continuous improvement using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Create clear documentation for machining processes, NC programs, and automation workflows.
Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements. What you’ll bring
Extensive experience in high-mix, low-volume machining environments.
Deep expertise in 5-axis CNC programming and operations.
Hands-on success integrating automation into manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM and G-code; Mastercam mastery is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred). What you’ll get
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Opportunities to innovate and lead in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.
A dynamic, collaborative team culture.
