Ruby Rock Group is one of Calgary’s largest civil infrastructure contractors, delivering major roadworks and infrastructure projects throughout the city and across Central and Southern Alberta. With over 30 years of industry experience, we specialize in full-scope road construction, earthworks, concrete, and asphalt paving.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our civil construction team. This role is responsible for leading projects from tender and estimating through execution and closeout across roadway rehabilitation, grading, concrete, and asphalt infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings strong operational awareness, estimating capability, and the ability to manage complex municipal and infrastructure work within active urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and competitive tender submissions for civil construction projects
Manage projects through all phases including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout
Coordinate with clients, consultants, municipalities, subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
Monitor project costs, productivity, forecasts, and overall financial performance
Manage contracts, change orders, progress claims, and project documentation
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and risk management activities
Qualifications
Experience in civil construction project management and/or estimating
Strong understanding of roadway, earthworks, underground, concrete, and paving operations
Experience with complex civil infrastructure projects considered a strong asset
Degree or diploma in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field considered an asset
Experience with B2W software platforms considered an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management software
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
