Position Overview\n Healing Mind and Soul Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team.
In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to children and families facing developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Monthly team meetings will be held to facilitate open communication and idea-sharing among professionals dedicated to improving youth outcomes and family resilience.Key Responsibilities\n As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:\n\n Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, both remotely and in-home, to provide tailored support to children and their families.\n Implementing strategies to address behavioral challenges, including anger management and social skills enhancement.\n Helping youth and caregivers develop decision-making skills for better management of home environments.\n Maintaining meticulous documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any necessary reports, all timely submitted as required.\n Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care.\n Attending monthly case meetings and participating in continuous professional development activities to enhance service delivery.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n Your work will primarily focus on children ranging from ages 3 to 20 who are diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Many clients will also require bilingual support, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese.
By addressing both the emotional and behavioral needs of these children and engaging their families, you will significantly contribute to improved quality of life and functional outcomes.Qualifications\n To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:\n\n A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.\n An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.\n A commitment to providing care that is both culturally competent and sensitive to different family dynamics.\n Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility preferred.\nPreferred Experience\n Ideal candidates will have:\n\n Experience working directly with children within the ages of 3-20 who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.\n A background in providing positive behavior support and effective intervention strategies.\n Strong communication skills, particularly with bilingual capabilities in either Spanish or Portuguese.\n A valid driver’s license, a registered vehicle, and the ability to pass a criminal background check inclusive of fingerprinting.\nCompensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
