We recognize the importance of work-life balance and are committed to providing a healthy work environment that fosters personal well-being.Key Responsibilities\n\n Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and thorough assessments to understand clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.\n Document all interactions and treatment plans meticulously, from the initial consultation through the course of therapy.\n Develop personalized intervention strategies tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, grounded in the latest best practices in psychotherapy.\n Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities that suit the client's needs.\n Monitor clients' progress continuously and adjust treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.\n Collaborate with other mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care.\n Provide appropriate follow-up with clients and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, especially for those needing hospital services.\n Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop proactive strategies to prevent setbacks.\n Assist family members and primary caregivers by offering guidance on supporting individuals facing mental health challenges.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n This role will cater to a diverse range of clients, including individuals battling anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
Our clientele encompasses various age groups and backgrounds, making cultural competence crucial.
You will play a vital role in not only treating the individual but also empowering families to manage mental health issues together effectively, thus promoting a holistic approach to well-being.Qualifications\n\n A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.\n Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.\n Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).\n Superior written and verbal communication abilities, allowing for effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.\n Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and active listening in all interactions.\nPreferred Experience\n\n Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on individual and group counseling.\n Proficiency using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or comparable platforms.\n Experience in addressing substance use disorders and physical health conditions that impact mental well-being.\n Familiarity with guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) for ethical practices.\n In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on clients’ mental health, as prescribed by medical professionals.\nCompensation and Benefits\n The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
