Setting: Hospital-based Emergency/Urgent Care
Patient Volume: Approximately 42 per shift
Department Size: 14 beds
Call: None
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 30 days
Temporary Privileges: Available
Support Team: Four RNs, one APP, and two office staff members Requirements
Board-Certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine Physician
Active Missouri license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
Current Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care competency
Ability to work 12- or 24-hour shifts
Hospital privileges Clinical Details
Evaluate and treat acute Emergency and Urgent Care patients
Stabilize higher-acuity patients and coordinate transfers
Respond to Emergency Department codes
Collaborate with nursing and APP support
Utilize 24-hour anesthesia, catheterization laboratory, General Surgery, laboratory, and Radiology services
Coordinate inpatient escalation when clinically required
No newborn deliveries are received in the Emergency Department
No APP, resident, or teaching supervision responsibilities
