The Supervisor, AgGrowPro Farms will be responsible for coordinating and supervising daily land preparation, planting, cultivation, and pest control activities for sugarcane fields. This role requires following work plans and instructions from the AgGrowPro Farm Manager and Director of Agriculture, assisting with yield estimates, assigning and monitoring staff activities, and supporting other departments as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, in Agronomy, applied agriculture or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in agriculture
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Suite
Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments
Ability to collaborate with various departments and employees
Team player with an outstanding track record of honesty and integrity
Excellent observation skills, with a keen eye for details
Roles and Responsibilities:
Timely implementation of all agricultural practices within the designated area, ensuring an increase in yield for TSA and TCA, while adhering to the established budget guidelines
Responsible for the timely preparation of planning and setting up of the sugarcane fields for planting and maintenance of their respective assigned areas
Time keeping of employees’ daily working hours
Prepare reports for services administered on farmers’ fields
Create weekly plans of services to be administered to farmers’ fields
Conduct field trials, soil fertility improvement, pest control, etc
Assist with testing new farming techniques and varieties aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability
