Project assignments for this role are primarily located throughout the Midwest and Central regions of the United States and may require travel based on project needs.

Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region.

Responsibilities and Duties:Execute site grading for industrial, solar, and wind energy construction projects, including road improvements and maintenance, drainage systems, dewatering, soil stabilization, foundation excavation and backfill, utility installation, and other required civil infrastructure work.Collaborate with subcontractors to plan and implement work procedures, interpret project specifications, and coordinate construction phases to minimize delays and ensure timely project completion.Monitor and inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules, maintaining consistent communication with the Project Superintendent.Manage a field team of approximately 5–10 personnel, including equipment operators and laborers.Support the Project Superintendent in material procurement, schedule management, and project documentation to maintain efficient project execution.Enforce company safety policies and ensure all personnel consistently adhere to project-specific safety standards and regulatory requirements.Position Requirements: Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil constructionAbility to be a team leader under challenging conditionsStrong oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple operationsDemonstrate ability to promote a safe work environmentDependability: showing initiative and good follow throughAbility to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstancesTravel is required for this position based on project needs We Offer:Union scale plus premiumDiscretionary BonusHousing and Per DiemComprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance401(k) Plan with Employer Match ComponentEqual Opportunity Employer: Rachel Contracting is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
