THE JOB

Burns Waste is hiring a Front Load Driver responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front load trucks to service commercial and construction customers. This role plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring timely pickups, safe transport, and professional customer interaction.

This position requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, along with the ability to work independently and stay on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate front-load and roll-off trucks to service assigned routes

Pick up, transport, and deliver waste and recyclable materials to designated facilities

Ensure proper loading, securement, and transport

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition

Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards

Accurately complete required documentation

Communicate effectively with dispatch

Place containers properly to avoid damage, obstruction, or safety issues

Perform basic truck checks (fluids, tires, cleanliness) and report maintenance needs

Keep equipment clean and presentable

Provide professional, courteous service at all customer locations

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Valid CDL Class A

Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR screening

Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and Clearinghouse query

Experience operating front load trucks preferred

Strong understanding of safety practices and DOT compliance

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions

Accurate and timely documentation

Strong communication with dispatch and other team members

Equipment is well-maintained and properly operated
