Role Description

The Litigation Associate will work onsite in Columbus, Ohio in a full-time capacity, supporting the firm’s litigation practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting motions and other pleadings, assisting with discovery, and preparing for depositions and court appearances. The role involves collaborating with partners and other attorneys, communicating with clients, and helping manage case files and deadlines. The Litigation Associate will also review evidence, develop case strategies, and support the team in hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.

Prior litigation experience as a licensed attorney.

Strong foundation in law, including litigation procedures and applicable substantive legal principles.

Experience drafting and reviewing motions and other court filings with attention to detail and clarity.

Proficiency in legal research using relevant tools and databases to support case strategy.

Familiarity with depositions, including preparation of outlines, exhibits, and witness coordination.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical thinking, and sound judgment.

Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
