**Location:** Kalamazoo, MI

## Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced **Civil Engineer** to lead the design and delivery of **municipal infrastructure projects**, including water, wastewater, sewer, stormwater, and roadway projects.
## Mandatory Skills & Experience
* **Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering**
* **5–15 years** of relevant Civil Engineering experience
* Strong experience with **Municipal Infrastructure Projects**
* Hands-on experience with:
* **Water & Wastewater**
* **Sanitary Sewer**
* **Stormwater Drainage**
* **Roadway / Transportation**
* Experience with **Engineering Design & Construction Documents**
* Experience with **Permitting and Regulatory Requirements**
* Experience with **Construction Administration / Oversight**
* Experience managing **project budgets, schedules, scopes, and work plans**
* Proficiency in **AutoCAD Civil 3D**
* Strong **Microsoft Office** skills
* Excellent communication and client coordination skills
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead design of municipal water, wastewater, sewer, stormwater, and roadway projects.
* Prepare engineering studies, designs, drawings, specifications, and permits.
* Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, designers, and technicians.
* Support construction administration, including **RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, pay applications, and change orders**.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
## Preferred
* Experience leading projects from **concept through construction**
* Municipal funding agency experience
* Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
### Ideal Candidate
A **5–15 year Civil Engineer** with strong **municipal infrastructure experience**, particularly in **water/wastewater, sewer, stormwater, and roadway projects**, with hands-on **AutoCAD Civil 3D** and construction administration experience.
