Construction Carpenter Supervisor

Wage: 38.50 CAD/hr

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:

Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of carpenters, apprentices, helpers and labourers on construction sites.

Assign work tasks, monitor progress and ensure carpentry work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards and deadlines.

Coordinate carpentry activities with contractors, subcontractors and other trades to maintain an efficient workflow.

Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications and ensure work complies with building codes and safety requirements.

Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure proper installation, quality and compliance with project requirements.

Order and maintain inventories of lumber, materials, tools and equipment required for carpentry operations.

Train and mentor carpenters and apprentices on construction techniques, equipment use and workplace safety procedures.

Prepare daily work reports and communicate project progress, material requirements and workforce needs to management.

Resolve work-related issues and recommend measures to improve productivity, efficiency and quality of workmanship.

Mandatory requirements:

English language proficiency required.

Completion of a secondary school

At least 3 years of experience in construction carpentry supervision.
