Position: Recovery Housing Program Coordinator

Job Summary: The Recovery Housing Program Coordinator (RHPC) is responsible for the administration and management of recovery housing operations, including regulatory compliance, operational oversight, resident accountability, quality assurance, risk management, and implementation of Ohio Recovery Housing standards. The position exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance affecting housing operations, resident safety, program compliance, and organizational objectives.

Reports to: Recovery Housing Program Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:

Housing Duties

Direct and oversee recovery housing operations across assigned locations

Ensure ongoing compliance with Ohio Recovery Housing standards, organizational policies, and housing program requirements

Conduct operational reviews, inspections, audits, and quality assurance activities to maintain program integrity

Evaluate housing operations and implement improvements to enhance effectiveness, safety, and resident outcomes

Maintain required housing documentation, compliance records, incident reports, resident agreements, and operational reports

Participate in ORH trainings, surveys, certification activities, and compliance-related initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the housing program

Maintain oversight of resident adherence to housing expectations, community standards, and program requirements

Exercise independent judgment in responding to resident misconduct, policy violations, safety concerns, and behavioral issues

Determine appropriate accountability measures, behavioral contracts, corrective actions, and program interventions

Review and approve recommendations regarding resident phase advancements, privileges, overnight passes, and housing-related requests

Ensure housing environments remain free from prohibited substances and activities

Investigate incidents and determine appropriate resolutions consistent with organizational policy

Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, housing placements, and discharges

May directly supervise Recovery Support Specialists and provide operational leadership to housing staff and resident managers to ensure consistent program implementation, resident safety, and compliance with organizational and Ohio Recovery Housing standards

Monitor housing occupancy, resident accountability, safety concerns, and operational performance

Ensure implementation of organizational safety standards, emergency procedures, and good-neighbor policies

Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions as necessary

Coordinate maintenance, safety inspections, and property management activities

Train and support resident managers in implementing housing policies and operational expectations

Collaborate with other departments regarding housing operations and program performance

Clinical Duties

Support residents in accessing medical, social, educational, vocational, recreational, and criminal justice services

Assist residents with employment, financial assistance, housing resources, food, clothing, and other basic needs

Facilitate connections to community resources, recovery supports, and self-help groups

Assist residents in developing and maintaining positive social support networks

Assist residents with activities of daily living when appropriate

Advocate for resident needs and coordinate appropriate services

Provide support during crises or emergencies, including relapse, within the scope of the position

Monitor resident progress and communicate concerns to appropriate clinical staff

Participate in team meetings to review resident progress and identify appropriate support strategies

Coordinate with clinical staff regarding changes in resident needs or functioning

Complete required clinical/case-management documentation accurately and timely

Model recovery principles and professional behavior

Required Experience/Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in recovery housing, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, case management, residential services, corrections, social services, or a related human services setting.

Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating programs, leading housing operations, supervising staff, serving as a resident manager, or providing operational oversight in a residential or community-based program.

Experience interpreting and enforcing policies, procedures, and program standards.

Experience responding to crises, managing resident behavioral concerns, and documenting incidents.

Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen

Desired Experience/Abilities:

Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred

Experience with Ohio Recovery Housing (ORH) standards or other recovery housing accreditation standards

Experience coordinating services for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions

Experience supervising staff, volunteers, resident leaders, or peer support personnel

Experience conducting audits, inspections, compliance reviews, or quality assurance activities

Experience managing multiple program sites or residential locations

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm, OR Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12am

Compensation range: $45,500 - $58,000 annually

Location: Columbus, OH
