ALD Thermal Treatment, Inc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Negotiable)

Expected Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week

Schedule: 12-hour Continental Schedule, Night Shift, Weekends as Scheduled

Work Location: In Person

Summary of Position

The Maintenance Technician B is responsible for the care and upkeep of the facility, including lighting, grounds, and general maintenance. This role works alongside higher maintenance grades and assists production as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

Understand how PLCs integrate with peripheral equipment.

Go online with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs to perform system diagnostics.

Troubleshoot machinery and repair or replace defective components.

Clean, adjust, align, and lubricate equipment in compliance with plant preventative maintenance programs.

Read and understand electrical schematics, machine blueprints, and equipment manuals to diagnose and repair machine failures.

Perform routine maintenance, including inspecting drives, motors, and belts; checking fluid levels; replacing filters; and completing other maintenance actions.

Install service panels (110V, 220V, and 480V) and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.

Operate general shop tools, hi-lows, boom trucks, overhead cranes, and diagnostic equipment such as ammeters, multimeters, and helium detection equipment.

Provide direction to lower maintenance levels regarding general repairs, diagnostic methods, and machine-specific processes.

Diagnose mechanical failures and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.

Implement proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of plant personnel.

Perform general building repairs, including HVAC systems, garage doors, utility hookups, and facility maintenance.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs while ensuring code compliance.

Effectively multitask and prioritize maintenance activities.

Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.

Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other equipment components using hand or power tools.

Clean work areas upon project completion to maintain a safe and organized workplace.

Assist in machine overhauls by tearing down equipment and repairing or replacing damaged machine parts under direction.

Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to update work order status and maintenance records.

Help ensure break rooms and bathrooms are kept clean.

Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to read blueprints and understand written instructions.

Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.

Detail-oriented and conscientious work ethic.

Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.

Ability to determine the tools and equipment required to complete a job.

Electrical troubleshooting skills, welding experience, and the ability to set up and operate all machines.

Experience installing equipment, machinery, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50+ pounds.

Ability to perform physical activities requiring significant use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Ability to make precise finger and hand movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects.

Ability to quickly move hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Ability to lift arms overhead.

Ability to work in high-temperature conditions.

Ability to maintain or regain balance and remain stable in challenging positions.

Education

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

Relevant degree and/or industry certifications.

Experience

Required

Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
