Production Planner Scheduler

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler to develop and manage production schedules that support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in coordinating production activities, balancing capacity and material availability, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.

Release and prioritize work orders based on production capacity, inventory levels, and delivery commitments.

Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment of production plans.

Review inventory levels and material requirements to support production continuity and service goals.

Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.

Communicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.

Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

Experience in discrete manufacturing or make-to-order and make-to-stock environments.
