Perform test and verification procedures for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical components and subassemblies using defined production procedures.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, work instructions, technical manuals, and procedures to perform assigned assembly and test operationsAssemble, install, align, and adjust electro-optical, mechanical, and electronic subassembliesOperate computer-based test software and diagnostic tools to verify sensor functionality, calibration, and alignmentPerform optical alignment activities, including laser operation and verification of optical pathsUse precision hand tools to make fine mechanical and optical adjustments to meet performance specificationsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electro-optical issues using test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMM) and other diagnostic instrumentsApply adhesives, epoxies, and bonding compounds in accordance with approved procedures and curing requirementsVerify that all assembly, alignment, and test steps are completed accurately and in the proper sequenceInspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and documentation requirementsDocument test results, inspections, and process completion in electronic systemsMaintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure product reliability, performance, and flight-critical integrityPerform other related duties as assignedJob QualificationsHigh school degree or GED required, Associates degree preferred1 - 2 years of experience in related technical fieldPrinted circuit board (PCB) assembly experience preferredBasic computer skills requiredAble and willing to lift up to 50 pounds for short durationsMeticulous attention to detailDemonstrated ability to learn on the jobApplicants must be either a U.S.
